X-96 Big A** Show

Tony, Shane, Brad, Sid, Mel and I went to the Big A** show at USANA Ampitheatre. It is an annual concert that X-96 (my favorite radio station when I lived in Salt Lake) puts on every year. However, this is the first year I have attended. It was so much fun. I want to go every year. Here's a list of bands that were there:
Shiny Toy Guns, Local H, Hawthorne Heights, From First To Last, Jack’s Mannequin, Ludo, Atreyu, Ten Years, Mindless Self Indulgence, Trapt, The Brobecks.

I have to admit I wasn't completely familiar with all the bands that were there but since going I have fallen in love with Jack's Mannequin, The Brobecks and Ludo (Check them out on my playlist). I really liked watching Mindless Self Indulgence. They were hilarious and kindof crazy although I didn't think their music was quite appropriate to put on a public blog.

There were a ton of freaks there. It was kindof half the fun of going to the concert. They also had a lot of booths from the sponsors. I think that we made out with enough free stuff that it more than payed for our $25 tickets. It was at an anti-tobacco booth where I rode the mechanical bull, by the way and I only lasted 3 seconds. Shane found his new girlfriend there too, check out the mohawk!

Vinnie

My family has had a big hole since Vito our family dog died back in April. We have been begging our dad to get a new puppy and we finally did. We had been looking online for quite awhile and I found this cute boxer puppy on the eagleshine boxer website. But the original quote was ridiculously high because he is so beautiful with pretty markings. However, the good thing is that he only has one nut! (Don't mention it though he's a little self conscience.) Anyway that makes it so he is not stud quality and the price dropped into our price range.

I didn't know any of this however. My dad had Sid go get him and Sid has kept him at his house for a week and didn't tell me. So when we arrived at Sid's house on Friday I found this adorable little guy.

I think the name we all settled on is Vinnie. Although yesterday he was known as Floyd so I hope Vinnie sticks. He is very mellow and snugly. Its nice to have a cuddle buddy!

Lake Powell Getaway

This weekend Mom, Dad, Tony, Lisa, Shane, Rachael, Brad and I went to Lake Powell. We stayed in the campground Friday night. Shane had the largest tent I have ever seen in my life. I called it the Taj Mahal. It was kind of complicated to set up especially after dark. We were quite loud and almost got kicked out of the campgrounds.

We spent the majority of the morning wake boarding. The water was so calm it was beautiful!

After lunch we decided to go to Rainbow Bridge. We got a few funny photos. Shane and Rachael started a fad. A tour boat pulled up after us and they all stole their ideas for funny poses. The dinosaur in the picture is actually a small figurine. The perspective of the camera just makes it look 8 feet tall. The figurine was suppose to mark the dinosaur footprint.

My Medicine

My dad bought a new wake boarding boat. We traded in the old Rinker and got a Supreme. It is so stinkin sweet. I still suck at wake boarding, but I love going. We have gone to Sand Hollow the last three weekends in a row, trying to use it as much as possible before it gets cold. Tony actually landed a back flip and Brad gets seriously high on his jumps and can do 360's. It has been fun to hang out with my family and get some sun.

My little niece Avery has no fear. She is only about 14 months old and loves the water. She will actually jump from the swimming platform into the water (if someone is there to catch her).

Bowling Fun!

On Labor Day I bought a new bed. At one of the stores we went into, they had free chair massages and we took advantage of that! My mom has never had a massage before and swore she never would, but I think we may have changed her mind. I love getting massages, if I were rich enough I would schedule one every week!

This picture of Denise, Todd and Tony makes me laugh!
